This is an entry I made for the 11 second club mini challenge 18. The challenge was to animate interaction between pixo jr and a ball in memory of Steve Jobs (Hence the apple logo at the end). I kept the interaction to a minimal and went a little upscale in terms of props, parenting and constraining. I did it it late so i had no time to polish before the deadline. Lesson learnt: Good animation needs time.
The steps I'm taking as an animator and an artist. Plus, some other stuff that might come up..

Egg Factory test..
Just a little simple something I did to practice animating constraints.
Half an hour well spent :D
I'm thinking I might take this to a much larger scale when I've got more time.

Just got How to cheat in maya 2010
Oh man, I am super excited. I just got my copy of Eric Luhta's How to cheat in Maya 2010 and I believe it will enable me to get better in maya and use it to create the animation I need. It's no secret that Maya can be quite a challenge if you're not so sure what to do. Am happy to have this book.

I finally passed this shot through Mental Ray and After Effects to get a more descent look.
The video (in play blast form) was among those posted to the Mini challenge 16 post on the 11 secong club blog which you can find here.

Crysis weekend..
After watching a trailer for the game Crysis 2. I thought I just had to play this game. But as a sucker for story, I had to get crysis first. And wow, this game is something else. Absolutely fun. Crazy suit modes, awesome graphics and a lot of game play choices. I love games that aren't too linear in game play style. I recommend Crysis to FPS fans that haven't played it yet. Onto part 2 then.
